AudioCrab
About

A small team, a sharp tool.

AudioCrab started as a weekend script to rescue an interview from a broken screen recorder. Then a friend asked for it. Then their friend did. Now thousands of files pass through every day.

We're a fully remote team of three engineers and one designer. We ship weekly, answer support ourselves, and don't take VC money — which is why AudioCrab will never nag you to upgrade, install a browser extension, or watch an ad.

Our bet is simple: there's a class of tools that are so close to the metal, so obviously useful, that they should just exist — permanently, quietly, reliably. Extracting audio from video is one of them.

If you have thoughts on where we should take AudioCrab next, write to us. We read everything.

One job, done well.

We don't build a dashboard, a video editor, a hosting service. We extract audio — and we're obsessed with the last 20% of quality.

Privacy is a default, not an add-on.

Files are processed in isolated workers, wiped within an hour, and never used to train anything. No account required, no email harvested.

Speed is a feature.

Most jobs finish before the download would've started elsewhere. Our workers run FFmpeg on bare metal, close to you.

Boring reliability.

We'd rather ship one thing that never breaks than ten things that mostly work. Our status page is aggressively uneventful.
